Steven Frederick Siegrist
Pastor Steve grew up in Bay City Michigan. He attended and studied for his Master's Degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary from 1990 - 1995. He attended Liberty University from 2012 - 2015 graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion.
He served 4 churches full time over the last 26 years upon retiring in 2017 from Ocean View Baptist Church in Kitty Hawk, NC after 13 years as the Senior Pastor.
He and his wife Karol just celebrated 40 years of a Godly-joined marriage. Steve and Karol have a son and daughter and 5 grandchildren.
In 2018 Pastor Steve received his certification as an Intentional Interim Pastor from the North Carolina Baptist Convention.
He is certified, and serves as a NC Firefighter Level I and II with the Kill Devil Hills Fire Department. And, further serves as Chaplain for the Kill Devil Hills Fire and Police departments as well as the Outer Banks Hospital.
His favorite word in the Bible is "Therefore"
His life verse is Galatians 2:20
" I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
In September of 2019, the Pastor of KHBC, Don Teears, was killed in an accident. Through a divine plan, Pastor Steve, a colleague and close friend of Pastor Don's and the KHBC family; and having been trained as an Intentional Interim Pastor, was at the ready to seamlessly step in to shepherd this church.
Youth and Music Director
Jayme Hennessy joined the staff of Kitty Hawk Baptist Church in May of 2018 where she currently serves as Youth and Music Director. She met her husband Thomas in Orlando, Florida. They were married on December 14, 2002. Jayme was born in Pennsylvania but raised in Florida and Thomas is from New York, but they are happy to call North Carolina home. They have three children together, ages 16, 14, and 10. Jayme enjoys music, learning, hockey, teaching and sharing God's Word, and helping students grow in and live out their faith.
